Screen for Nocturnal Insects

Moths and other nocturnal insects are always attracted to bright light, and it can be unpleasant to deal with them, especially when the summer season is at hand.

You can try to close the windows early on before the evening comes, but still, they get the chance to enter the premises of your home.

What you can do is install tight-fitting screens on any windows you keep open at night.

You can also try to use fewer lights outside your house to prevent them from swarming in front of the house.

Adding a screen door for your front door would also be a good way of preventing them from coming inside your house.

You can use a bug zapper lamp, but it also kills all kinds of helpful insects that are attracted to light.

CO2 Zapper for Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are attracted to the carbon dioxide that comes from our breath whenever we exhale.

That is how they can track and find us. Since they are not naturally attracted to bright lights, using a bug-zapping lantern will be useless for these blood-sucking creatures.

Since mosquitoes tend to be active during dusk and dawn, screen doors are also useful in keeping them from getting inside your homes.

If their numbers seem to be a handful and some get to slip into your homes, you may use citronella candles outside near your doors. You may also install a bug zapper that releases octanol or CO2 if they are a big problem.

Red Wine and Vinegar for Fruit Flies

Fruit flies are one of the common household pests you may have, and they multiply like crazy.

These pest problems only linger around when a constant food source is available. That is why it is essential to clean your kitchen and sink regularly.

If their numbers are starting to be a big problem, you can use the red wine and vinegar solution. Simply put some red wine and vinegar in a small bowl.

After that, cover the top of the bowl with a cling film wrap and poke a few holes for the flies to enter.

If all else fails, you may use bug spray for them. It is also worth noting to cover all food, especially food that rots easily and to take out the trash regularly to keep them from coming back.

Extermination Services

For all kinds of pests, there are always extermination and fumigation services that you can hire and ask for help from.

You might think it is unnecessary to have different types of chemicals linger in your house, but you can have them spray them outside and around your house to keep these pests from coming near your home.
